What We Expect of You

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain DBT models to transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets;
- Implement complex SQL transformations, including joins, window functions, aggregations, and performance tuning;
- Build and manage incremental models, snapshots, tests, macros, and documentation in DBT;
- Develop and optimize Delta Lake tables on Databricks for performance and scalability;
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust data models;
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and maintainability through testing, documentation, and CI/CD pipelines;
- Contribute to data modeling and architecture decisions following Kimball and layered (medallion) data architecture principles;
- Support and improve existing transformation pipelines handling large and complex datasets;

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills:

- Strong hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) in production environments;
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex transformations and query optimization;
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling (Kimball);
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, including:
Databricks SQL and Notebooks:
- Delta Lake tables and performance optimization;
- Basic working knowledge of PySpark (ability to read and make minor modifications);

Platform & Tooling:

- Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines;
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP);
- Experience working in modern analytics or data engineering environments;

Experience Level:

- 3+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering roles;
- Proven track record of delivering production-grade DBT models;
- Experience working with large datasets and complex data transformation pipelines;
- Comfortable owning data models used for business reporting and decision-making;

Nice to Have:

- Databricks certifications (Data Engineer or Data Analyst);
- Experience with large-scale data platform transformations;
- Familiarity with medallion / layered data architecture;
- Experience supporting BI or reporting use cases (e.g., dashboards, metrics layers);
