What We Expect of You

About the Project:

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager / Project Manager to lead the design, certification, and implementation of a modern national payment system. The project aims to create a platform that ensures flexible cash-flow management, reduces transaction costs, and enhances the client’s position in both national and SEPA euro transactions. The initiative will also foster cooperation with financial institutions and strengthen competitiveness in the Croatian financial market.

Java 17, Spring Boot/Cloud; .NET 8 (as needed); Angular 17/TypeScript; REST/OpenAPI/SOAP; SFTP/Connect:Direct; Apache Camel; MS SQL/DWH/Power BI; Redis; Keycloak/AD (OIDC/MFA); Vault; Red Hat OpenShift/Docker/K8s; GitLab/Jenkins; SonarQube; Nexus/Artifactory; Ansible/Terraform; OpenTelemetry/Prometheus/Grafana/EFK; JUnit/Selenium/Postman/JMeter/Gatling.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the full project delivery lifecycle - from initiation to successful implementation;
• Define and estimate project scope, develop project plans, and manage execution;
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders;
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks, ensuring timely issue resolution;
• Manage priorities according to team capacity and project goals;
• Plan and control project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation;
• Organize and facilitate planning, status, review, and retrospective meetings;
• Build and manage distributed, cross-functional teams, optimizing collaboration and productivity;
• Apply Agile methodologies where appropriate;
• Ensure regular service delivery, including software releases and bug fixes;
• Support team morale and performance, especially in high-pressure situations;
• Utilize modern project management and collaboration tools effectively;

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Delivery Manager or Project Manager in complex software development projects;
• Strong understanding of Delivery Management best practices;
• Experience in Java Enterprise software delivery and high-performance system development;
• Solid understanding of frontend and backend technologies, database modeling, and DevOps pipelines;
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills;
• Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities;

MUST HAVE a valid PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certificate or an equivalent certification.
