Duties
- Architect and maintain robust Oracle database environments; ensure high availability, disaster recovery and security.
- Lead performance tuning and troubleshooting across large production systems; mentor junior DBAs.
- Manage migrations, upgrades and patching for multiple Oracle versions; plan capacity and resource usage.
- Design and enforce database security policies (RBAC, encryption, auditing); conduct regular audits and compliance checks.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on database architecture and query optimisation; evaluate new Oracle features and propose improvements.
Competencies
- 5+ years’ experience administering large Oracle databases in production, including RAC, ASM and Data Guard environments.
- Expert knowledge of Oracle internals, backup/recovery, partitioning and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Exadata systems and advanced replication/clustering is a strong advantage.
- Required certifications: at least Oracle Database 12c Administrator Certified Professional; ideally Oracle Database 12c Administrator Certified Master. Preference for candidates also holding Oracle Certified Expert - Performance Management & Tuning, Oracle Certified Expert - RAC & Grid Infrastructure, and Oracle Exadata Database Machine Certified Implementation Specialist.
- Proven ability to lead projects, mentor staff and liaise with senior stakeholders.
Additional Information

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Work experience: 5+ years DBA experience in enterprise environments.
- Language: Fluency in English; other languages (Polish/Russian) an asset.
