What We Expect of You

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP IS-U EDM Consultant to join our team and contribute to SAP IS-U implementation, enhancement, integration, and support projects within the utilities sector.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SAP IS-U Energy Data Management (EDM) and a solid understanding of end-to-end meter-to-cash processes. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, developers, and integration specialists to analyze requirements, design functional solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of SAP IS-U projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP IS-U EDM solutions.
• Configure and support SAP IS-U EDM functionality, including profiles, profile allocation, profile values, interval meter data, load curves, and energy quantities.
• Support settlement, reconciliation, billing, and meter-to-cash processes.
• Analyze end-to-end processes from device and meter data collection through EDM processing and billing.
• Participate in SAP IS-U implementation, rollout, upgrade, enhancement, and integration projects.
• Prepare detailed functional specifications for:
  • ABAP developments;
  • system interfaces;
  • reports;
  • data conversions;
  • system enhancements;
  • monitoring and support tools.
• Work closely with ABAP developers, integration specialists, business analysts, and other SAP consultants.
• Support integrations between SAP ECC IS-U and middleware solutions such as SAP PO/PI.
• Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Analyze defects, identify root causes, and coordinate issue resolution.
• Support data validation, migration, and reconciliation activities.
• Provide functional expertise during project workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Maintain clear project documentation and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide knowledge transfer and functional support to internal teams and end users.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least 5 years of professional experience with SAP IS-U.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP IS-U EDM.
• Practical experience with:
  • EDM profiles;
  • profile allocation;
  • profile values;
  • interval meter data;
  • load curves;
  • energy quantities;
  • settlement and reconciliation processes.
• Experience in at least one SAP IS-U implementation, rollout, upgrade, enhancement, or integration project.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end meter-to-cash processes.
• Experience analyzing processes from meter and device data collection through EDM and billing.
• Experience preparing functional specifications for ABAP developments, interfaces, reports, conversions, enhancements, and monitoring tools.
• Good understanding of SAP ECC IS-U environments.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies, particularly SAP PO/PI.
• Strong functional testing, defect analysis, troubleshooting, and issue-resolution skills.
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with utility companies in the electricity, gas, water, or energy sector.
• Knowledge of SAP IS-U Billing, Device Management, or Customer Service.
• Experience with large-scale SAP transformation or migration projects.
• Understanding of data migration and integration processes within SAP IS-U.
• Experience working in international and distributed project teams.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
