Middle German-speaking Full-Stack Developer (React / Node.js)

What We Expect of You

Commercial Experience

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.

JavaScript / TypeScript

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and practical experience with TypeScript.

React

• Solid hands-on experience with React, functional components, Hooks, component lifecycle and state management.

Frontend Development

• HTML5, CSS3, responsive design; experience with modern frontend development practices.

State Management

• Experience with Redux / Redux Toolkit, Context API, or similar.

Node.js

• Practical backend development experience with Node.js.

Backend Frameworks

• Experience with Express.js, NestJS or similar Node.js frameworks.

APIs & Integration

• Design and implementation of REST APIs, JSON; understanding of API authentication and integration patterns.

Databases

• Practical experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL; knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is an advantage.

Testing

• Unit/component testing using Jest, React Testing Library or similar; backend testing experience is desirable.

Security

• Understanding of web security basics: authentication/authorization, OAuth2/OIDC/JWT, CORS and common web vulnerabilities.

Build & SCM

• npm/yarn/pnpm, Git; understanding of modern frontend build tooling.

DevOps Basics

• Understanding of CI/CD; experience with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar.

Containers

• Basic practical experience with Docker; Kubernetes/OpenShift is a plus.

Cloud

• AWS, Azure or GCP experience is an advantage.

German

• B2 or higher — able to participate in customer meetings, clarify requirements and discuss technical topics.

English

• B1+/B2 or higher — sufficient for technical documentation and international team communication.

Soft Skills

• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, estimate work, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues and communicate effectively with customer/team members.
